Empowering you to live well.
If you are struggling with health challenges, want to reverse or prevent chronic disease or have issues that keep recurring in your body or with people around you, then looking at your health with a ‘whole person’ lens creates much-needed new options.
Discover new pathways to help you to feel better.
Medical teaching trained me to focus on symptom patterns and illness labels to guide treatment and aim to find a cure.
Time and time again I saw that this approach did not address the essence of human health, that sometimes it wasn’t enough, that some bodies didn’t respond to well-researched treatments.
I found that the key to returning to holistic health, to help people heal, was in holding the whole person-physical and emotional parts together to address the root cause.
Many people have a sense of constant busyness or needing “to do” ( this is societally normal it seems now). This gets stuff done- but turns off our innate healing mechanisms. The sense of tension can be primed by our experiences but it can be processed and released. This allows the body to heal and respond better to supplements or medication, to find ease and replenish energy. Lifestyle changes that previously felt impossible started to become much easier and clients were able to hugely improve their health and lives.
Healing hearts, minds and of course guts (which we now know is so crucial to health) needs to be done together – as part of the whole.
Colonised by billions of bacteria, we have now learned that the gut microbiota has an enormous and previously unrecognised impact on health.
But why?
When the good and less helpful bacteria are not in healthy balance, inflammation occurs and the gut cannot optimally regulate our immune system, produce hormones (serotonin – the happy hormone), absorb nutrients to power us, or maintain its barrier to toxins and pathogens (nasty bugs) that we meet daily.
These bacteria are influenced by how we live, what we feed them, how we feel and so much more.
So I always include the gut, supporting a healthy microbiome to power you towards wellness.
Come and join me to explore how holistic health, in the true sense of the word, can help you live well.
And what could you do if you lived well?
Who could you support, what would your life look like and how could you use your energy and focus on what really matters to you?
